Drift

Freeing myself from the instant gratification that comes with digital photography, I have found a passion in analog and camera-less photography. Working with analog technologies allows my mind to unwind and my creativity to flourish.

Embracing a reconnection with a slower, more purposeful practice; in this work I play with darkroom paper and developer to create depth and dimension in a constructed reality of its own unique making.

“I wanted to visualize the idea of a threshold where one would be on the edge of two interconnected worlds: one, an internal, imaginative or contemplative space and the other, an external, dynamic, magical world of nature. I am interested in how the two interact, how they project onto or into each other and destabilize the ideas we normally have of ourselves and the surrounding environment.”
